Amesbury Cultural Council unanimously approves operational framework for new Cultural Center. The council set a $25-per-hour rental fee with a $100 half-day minimum, approved $500 for speaker fees supporting free community programming on topics from grant writing to artwork pricing, and allocated $1,000 for gallery hanging systems. The council will reapply for a Massachusetts Cultural Council grant of $2,500, down from a $5,000 request denied last year due to lack of BIPOC-centered programming, and is planning a grant reception and artist mixer for March 24.
