Amesbury Historical Commission approves four properties for historic preservation eligibility. Chair Joseph Finn and the seven-member Commission voted unanimously to approve 9 School Street for conversion into a six-family dwelling and found 234 Main Street historically significant. Two properties--5 School Street and 234 Main Street--were scheduled for final preservation determinations at the February 5 meeting, contingent on public notice completion by applicants.
The Commission also approved historic eligibility for 14 Maple Street (the Frank Todd House) for a two-lot subdivision project and heard a preliminary presentation for 19 Prospect Street, an 1870s Italianate house.
