AMESBURY — City Council approves $55,000 free cash appropriation for City Hall completion. President Jessica Redfern and six other councilors voted 6-2 in favor of the amended order, down from the proposed $100,000, with Councilors Steve Stanganelli and Claudel Frederique opposed. The council unanimously approved three mayoral appointments, including reappointments of Lyndsey Haight and Ralph Noon to the Housing Authority and Thomas Champion to the Trustees of the War Memorials.
The council also unanimously referred a $20,000 state Legislative Earmark Grant for pocket park improvements, a $75,000 transfer from Budget Reserve to Revaluation and Legal Services, and a $14,858 MIIA wellness grant for the Fire Department to the Budget and Finance Committee.
