AMESBURY — City Council approves three mayoral appointments and multiple municipal fee changes. President Jessica Redfern led the April 28 meeting, which unanimously approved Frederick Range and Jason Donovan to the Trustees of the War Memorial and Elizabeth McConnell to the Energy, Environment and Sustainability Committee, all through February 2029. The Council voted 7-1 to adopt Highland Street no-parking regulations, with Councilor Steve Stanganelli opposing; unanimously approved a kayak and canoe rental fee structure for the Recreation Department; and authorized a $1,000 transfer to support building inspector training.

The Council continued action on a $25,000-to-$30,000 shed donation for the Town Park ice rink until May 12 to obtain written liability and maintenance information.
