Commission forwards solar farm concerns to Amesbury Planning Board

Lakes and Waterways Commission · Meeting of June 15, 2023

AMESBURY — Lakes and Waterways Commission forwards solar farm concerns to Planning Board. Acting Chair Tom Murphy reported the Commission raised concerns about stormwater run-off from a proposed solar farm potentially impacting Meadowbrook Pond and Lake Attitash; Murphy sent a letter to the Planning Board and volunteered to follow up. The Quality Assurance Project Plan under the 604(b) grant project has been approved and is routing for signatures, with stormwater management site reviews expected in mid-July.

Phosphorus removal apparatus units were received for a pilot installation at six catch basins near Lake Attitash.
