Committee approves speed humps, crosswalk, and parking restrictions

Amesbury traffic committee approves five safety improvements for residential neighborhoods. The committee voted unanimously to install 2 speed humps on Lake Attitash Way and 3 on Spindletree Drive, and approved 25 miles per hour speed limit and stop signs for the Old County Road and Cross Street area. By a 4-2 vote with abstentions from Councilor Jonathan Hickok and member Christine Miller, the committee approved No Parking restrictions on Main Street from Clark's Road to 466 Main Street.

A crosswalk at Monroe Street and Fairway Drive was also unanimously approved. Three additional requests for traffic safety measures were continued to the March meeting.
