AMESBURY — Lakes and Waterways Commission hires new Conservation Agent as chair vacancy remains unfilled. Kassandra Pearl was hired as the full-time Conservation Agent. Acting Chair Tom Murphy offered the chair position to members but received no interest.
The commission addressed member Kate Mallory's concerns about National Grid vegetation management in waterway-adjacent areas and confirmed a phosphorus removal pilot project is proceeding as planned with installations in six catch basins near Lake Aetash.
