Amesbury Council on Aging Board unanimously approved prior meeting minutes and reviewed financial statements showing a combined balance of nearly $24,614 across operating accounts as of December 2025. Vice Chair Margaret Miller presented year-over-year statistics noting a decline in Social Services attributed to the Director position remaining unfilled since March 2025, though Support Groups activity increased. Assistant Director Courtney Hutchinson reported 19 registrations for the Tax Work-Off Program and a new support group, "Where Do We Go From Here," launched January 8 with 18 attendees.
The board voted to contact City Councilors about the extended vacancy and may form a committee to meet with the Mayor regarding hiring plans.
