Amesbury considers dissolving its Traffic and Transportation Committee over duplicated duties. Councilor Adrienne Lennon proposed the dissolution during the October 18 meeting, citing overlap with the Technical Review Committee and the advisory-only status the committee has held since 2015. Lennon targeted a first reading in November for a bill to dissolve the panel and asked seven committee members, including Chair Owen Corcoran, whether they would serve on a newly created Planning and Development subcommittee.
The committee scheduled its next meeting for December 19.
