Amesbury Energy Committee extends Colonial Power contract through 2026. The five-year contract extension with the aggregation consultant runs through August 25, 2030; a mailing notifying new residents is set for March 13. Chair Bill Messner and Vice-Chair Nancy Maynes moved to establish a task force to revise the city's Solid Waste Ordinance at Mayor Gove's request.
Energy Manager Dave Johnson reported the city's current AOBC balance at $990,269.99 and that National Grid is expected to hire consultants by mid-March for building assessment work. The committee approved a $1,603 annual charge to National Grid for detailed meter data.
