Amesbury Library Board approves $12,400 admin assistant to handle vendor work. The Board unanimously approved using state aid to hire a 10-hour-per-week administrative assistant after learning that Ingram, the library's primary book vendor, would double or triple its item processing charges in the next contract year. Director Aimie Westphal determined the increase would cost the library about $10,000 annually; the Board voted instead to bring the work in-house.
The Board also approved approximately $75,000 in FY27 capital projects and welcomed new member Emily Atkins.
