Median Amesbury Home Sale Hits $766,500 in August Deed Records
Amesbury recorded 15 property transfers between July 31 and Aug. 29, with 11 disclosing a sale price ranging from $20,000 to $1,375,000 and a median of $766,500. The top sale was a $1.375 million condominium at 60 Merrimac St., Unit 506, sold by Landra E. McDermott to Spela Trefalt as trustee. Merrimac Street and Birchmeadow Road each logged two sales during the period. Six of the 15 transfers moved property between family members or into a trust bearing the seller's name, and eight involved condominium units or lots rather than standalone addresses. Four transfers listed no sale price, consistent with typical deed-recording practice for such transactions.
