Phosphorus-removal pilot set for Lake Attitash

Amesbury Lakes Commission reviews water-quality initiatives. The commission met virtually to update on a pilot phosphorus-removal project at Lake Attitash, coordinated with the DPW and Lake Attitash Association, with testing planned to evaluate equipment effectiveness. Acting Public Works Director Peter Manor reported the city is developing a Commonwealth-funded watershed restoration plan under a 604(b) grant, with spring site visits anticipated.
The water department is preparing for expected PFAS testing and reporting regulations.
