AMESBURY — Planning Board approves 27.5-29 Clarks Road development at January 29 meeting. Chair Pascal Rettig and the Board voted 5-1 to approve the 146-unit mixed-use site plan with waivers for parking, setback reduction to 10 feet, and maximum building size, incorporating conditions for historic preservation restrictions and adherence to approved designs; Michael Jewell opposed and Tracey Chalifour recused. The Board also approved a historic preservation special permit for 45 Main Street in a 5-0-1 vote, granting parking and affordable-housing waivers; voted 7-0 to continue three applications (14 Maple Street, 5 and 13 School Street, and Rocky Hill Development) to February 23; and released $131,000 in performance bonds for 130 Market Street and Bailey's Pond projects.
