AMESBURY — Planning Board approves two residential development applications. The Planning Board unanimously approved an accessory dwelling unit at 12 Oak Street and a definitive subdivision at 2-4 Elmwood Street on September 14. The ADU application required a waiver of the standard five-foot side-yard setback to three feet, with conditions on design, parking, and landscaping.
The Elmwood subdivision by Magdiel Mathias splits the property into two lots—one with the existing historic structure, one for a new single-family home—and includes a perpetual historic preservation restriction. The board also continued four other applications, including a new home at 4 Lake Attitash Road pending further review of parking and stormwater design.
