Poet Laureate Support Committee approves updated guidelines, plans spring events

AMESBURY — Poet Laureate Support Committee approves updated guidelines and maps spring event calendar. The committee unanimously approved changes to its Poet Laureate Support Guidelines and agreed to present both marked-up and clean copies to the Amesbury Cultural Council. Bryan Riley, the current Poet Laureate, received a commemorative plaque.
The committee confirmed Poetry in the Pines is scheduled for April 25 and approved up to $150 in funding for a Storywalk collaboration with the library, contingent on sufficient available funds. A June karaoke fundraiser at Barewolf is also in planning stages.
