AMESBURY — Budget and Finance Subcommittee sends 13 of 15 orders to full City Council. The three-member subcommittee voted to recommend approval of orders totaling approximately $1.05 million in grant funding and earmarks, including $91,983 from the North Shore HOME Consortium for housing rehabilitation and $959,752 in Federal Community Project Funding for water main design, alongside approvals to transfer $231,535 to downtown crosswalk improvements and appropriate $200,000 to replenish the General Stabilization Fund. The subcommittee withheld recommendation on a $100,000 City Hall completion appropriation pending itemized spending details, and voted 2-1 to withdraw without prejudice a five-year copier lease contract; Councilor Stanganelli opposed both the parking study earmark and school capital transfer to the athletic field project.
