AMESBURY — Technical Review Committee reviews competing development demands on downtown corridors. Two pre-application presentations, a 68-unit mixed-use project at 230 Main Street and a six-unit residential conversion at 29 Water Street, prompted extended committee discussion of parking waivers, site design, and traffic impact. The 230 Main Street proposal falls 32 parking spaces short of zoning requirements; applicant attorney Lisa Mead and engineer John Tobin indicated plans to address fire access and layout concerns with city departments before formal filing.
