Traffic Committee places 25 mph signs on Spindletree Lane
Traffic & Transportation Committee · Meeting of March 21, 2022
AMESBURY — Traffic Committee approves 25 mph signs on Spindletree Lane. The Traffic and Transportation Committee voted unanimously to place 25 miles per hour speed limit signs on Spindletree Lane and conduct speed studies after residents rejected speed bumps. Police Chief Bailey backed the residents and suggested alternatives like speed trailers and officer presence.
The committee also deferred major traffic concerns in the Merrimac River District pending a $75,000 grant-funded holistic study, with Councilor Jonathan Hickok advising residents the mayor has requested a pause on incremental requests in the study area.
