Traffic Committee removes three requests from agenda

Amesbury Traffic Committee removes three items while continuing study of street improvements. The committee voted unanimously to remove requests for speeding monitoring at 19 Woodman Road and speed bumps on Lakeshore Drive, items that had appeared on the agenda multiple times. A request for a four-way stop at Pond Street and High Street was kept on the agenda pending completion of a traffic study.

The committee heard a presentation on the Merrimack River District transportation plan, which proposes traffic volume reduction and long-term pedestrian and bicycle facility improvements along Main Street and Merrimac Street.
