Amesbury Zoning Board reviews substantially revised 27 Kimball Road comprehensive permit plans. Applicant MP Properties IV scaled back the Chapter 40B project from 95 units in 51 buildings to 86 units in 45 buildings, with 25 percent deed-restricted for low or moderate income housing; the revision expanded open space from 49 percent to 56 percent, reduced parking from 174 to 146 spaces at 1.7 per unit, and lowered retaining walls from 17 feet to 6 feet. The Board voted unanimously to continue the hearing to July 23, 2026, pending independent peer review of traffic impacts and other project concerns.

The Board also voted unanimously to request that DPW and the Mayor's Office confirm whether Kimball Road is an officially accepted town road.
